sixties garage fuzz rips

Awesome gig almost 3 weeks ago (march 29) by The amazing Courettes. A Brazilian singing guitarist, Flávia C., a mighty Danish drummer Martin C. that used to be in the Columbian Neckties and a revolving bassplayer. This tours bassplayer look like he dreams of having sex with the insanely cool Emma Peel. I guess he is either German or English, but hey who knows? And who cares?

Of course I saw 'em in the worlds best club VERA, Groningen (= Grunnen Rocks City), NL, Europe. I would totally love to see 'm again while hummin' all their hits on the mighty cool american debut LP on the acclaimed English panklabel Damaged Goods. They have a shitload of vinyl already out. Be sure to check 'm out, especially if you're into anything from the 60s, Cee Bee Beaumont, fun, The Pipettes, the Wall of Sound, Thee Headcoatees or dancing.

BE YOUR OWN PET
and ... we're back!

OK this year is a rollercoaster, but musically it is a good one. I even have several candidates for "best LP of 2023", but in this first week of december it is BE YOUR OWN PET's "Mommy". After 15 years they returned and finally released a 3rd album which is as good as #1 or #2. Best songs are: "Hand Grenade", "Worship The Whip", "Goodtime".

I saw 'em in 2006 at the Dutch Lowlands Festival, but they never were in our beloved VERAclub In Grunnen Rocks City. I would totally love to see 'm finally in our club. That would be a day to remember.
